Florida
Building Code training for engineers - All Florida licensees actively
participating in the design of engineering works or systems in connection with
buildings, structures, or facilities and systems covered by the Florida
Building Code shall take a minimum of one (1) hour of continuing education
coursework covering the requirements of the current building code (see
471.0195, F.S.). This CPC may count toward the 18-hour requirement listed
above. This advanced or specialized building code course must be taken every
time a new edition of the building code is published.

Notes While the Ohio Board does accept online courses, registrants are reminded that the Ohio Board will only accept 3 hours of correspondance type courses whether completed online or by mail. Effective
January 2018, persons registered as a professional engineer or professional
surveyor shall complete at least two of the thirty hours of continuing
professional development required under division (A) of Ohio Revised Code
Section 4733.151 on professional ethics or laws and rules relevant to the
practices of engineering or surveying during each two-year renewal period. All other CPC requirements can be found at https://peps.ohio.gov/IndividualLicensing/ContinuingEd.aspx.

As of January 1, 2023, carryover PDHs are no longer permitted for the following design professions: architects, engineers, and landscape architects. (Rule 0120-05-.04 (1)(b), (2)(b), (3)(b)).
